The Hop-nights - Day 2

Roll up... roll up! It's time for The Hop-nights 2026... A weekend of ska, reggae & rocksteady music in Nottingham hosted by The Hoplites.

3 days of music, 3 different line-ups, 3 different headline sets from The Hoplites.

Tickets are £12 per day or you can purchase a 3 day ticket for £26.

The Sunday show is an all ages matinee - so why not bring the whole family!

The Hoplites bring a high-energy live show with an arsenal of percussion, guitars, and a full horn section. Their vibrant set of all-original tunes channels the spirit of first-wave Jamaican ska, aiming to bring that authentic sound back to festival stages across the UK.

Although a relatively new project, the band features veterans of the Nottingham music scene and have already played major UK festival stages, supporting the likes of Sonic Boom Six, Jeremiah Ferrari, and The Beat. The Hoplites' shows are guaranteed to get any crowd skanking.

bUTTONpUSHER PRESENTS….. NI (France) | A-tota-so

NI (France)

Four-headed monster,
the big bad Ni has left the linear roads of France
in order to live in a complex world paced
by electrical sounds and varying polyrhythms.

In its temple, shouts of the quartet make the windows crack,
a stunning nervousness makes the walls stand and, finally,
the strong foundations remove from ages to come all doubts
regarding the durability of all these things.

Inside, it is always like a squall:
children run in all directions and parents dance around the bonfire.
The waltz, the 4/4 time signature and verse and chorus structures
take one last breath before being burned to ashes at the core of this fire.

Rambling Cinema presents: MONOS!

Rambling Cinema presents: MONOS!

On a faraway mountaintop, eight teenage soldiers lead a regimented life watching over a hostage and a conscripted milk cow. Playing games and initiating cult-like rituals, the children run amok in the jungle. However, as factions jostle for power and anarchy threatens discipline, disaster strikes when the hostage tries to escape.

Alejandro Landes’s story of teenage guerrillas descending into anarchy is at once rooted in recent Colombian history and yet universal, creating a blend of Lord of the Flies, Apocalypse Now and a neo-Western aesthetic. A hypnotic, claustrophobic thriller bolstered by fantastic performances from young actors, it was hugely well-received on release and was Colombia's official selection for the 2020 Oscars. Rambling Cinema hosts films on the first Tuesday of every month at Carousel from around the world. Stick around afterwards for a drink and a chat about next month's film!

Hannah Grace

Hannah Grace

Hannah Grace is supported by the Women Make Music PRS Foundation. Never happier than when she’s at the piano, Hannah Grace writes songs to escape into and wants you to escape with her. She uniquely blends the sounds of soul, jazz, folk and pop with a voice that can seemingly sing anything.

Born in South Wales and now living in London, Hannah grew up idolising the queens that are Joni Mitchell, Carole King, Stevie Nicks and Beyonce (obviously). In keeping with these inspirational women, her songs are where she is both at her most vulnerable and defiant as she tries to make sense of her life and the world around her.
