“My name is Babak. I grew up in a small town in south of Iran. Since childhood, I’ve always loved creating things. I studied graphic design, but professionally I’ve continued my path as a cartoonist and illustrator. For the past three years, I’ve been living in Nottingham.
The series I’m currently working on is an attempt to reflect on the events that have been happening in Iran, not only recently, but over the past forty-seven years. It shows how these events passthrough my own mind and perspective, as someone who for many years couldn’t really speak openly, and who is now watching and processing everything from a distance.”
